I hate to say this, but the collapse of the USSR may well have been the greatest disaster of all for the American people.

Communism did keep the US, and many other democratic countries focussed on the ideals of democratic government, and without it we seem to be sliding rapidly toward an era of totalitarian rule by corporations which care less for humanity than Hitler ever did.

Puppets like George help these people to remain in the background, unaccountable and untouchable. Remove the figurehead and they will have to put their heads above the parapet where they can be shot at (figuratively of course).

Any candidate who shows enmity toward Bush and Cheney would seem to be preferrable.
