Not to defend Page et al, because they weren't completely innocent, but all music is derivative, and blues is and was a common people's music. They were going a little further than their forebears perhaps, but that seems to be the natural state of evolution in music. That there are legal checks and balances that have stepped in is good, and some of the damage has been rectified, payments made, however late.

For the record, the folks who Page ripped off got their music from somewhere too, and not always credited.
