It was my first there. I brought my almost-16-year-old son with me, and he had a ball too. He's in Advanced Choir at his high school; I hope he picked up some pointers.

Got to hear (and be impressed all to pieces by) the Johnson Girls and so many others.

During the breaks in the nighttime chantey sing, I'd wander out on the deck of a real sailing ship, look at the half moon in a clear sky and the lights of San Francisco and the East Bay on a warm beautiful night, then come back inside for some fine singing. Sat in front of Dave & PJ Swann.

You kept it very relaxed; everyone seemed in a good mood.

Finally got to meet Joe Offer too.
