Stan Rogers spent a number of weekends at our collective house in Lansing, Michigan, while he was there for a concert at the 10 Pound Fiddle and I can certainly see how some people might have been offended by what he said in casual conversation, or in spirited debate. He was a big lug too. But he also was a very generous man, and helped many unknown singers get a start. And he and Garnet became very mellow after we gave them a glass or two of absolute alcohol!
