EBarnacle: Right or wrong, I've found Brand an excellent source of tunes but try to avoid picking up any of his words. I've found that if I happen to get anyone's bowdlerized words stuck in my head it's very hard for me to upgrade them at a later time.

I sing several songs (not from Brand) for which I have to announce: "This is a very bawdy song but unfortunately, I only know "parlor" verses. The "Ram of Derby" for one.
