NPR did a very good and very important story this morning on what FEMA officials knew when. It's as clear an indictment of Michael Brown as I've read yet.

Back when I was arguing with CarolC about the buses in and out of Newe Orleans, this hadn't been made public: Michael Brown was doing nothing while his FEMA people knew a disaster like no other was bearing down on Louisiana. Read the blurb and listen to this story. Brown should be brought up on criminal charges, and Bush should be for appointing him. There were people who knew that the buses should be running, and people who knew that cost (affordablity) should not be a factor--any available buses should have been deployed to simply move everyone out of harms way.
