I had to be asleep long before midnight here last night, but I did see the NYC ball drop with the ads for Discover credit card flashing, and did see the Washington Monument with some fireworks before I hit the hay. Although I like the Gypsy Kings recordings, I wasn't impressed with watching them on a stage in Miami as midnight came. I kept wondering, where are all the Native American tribal dances and music that could have been broadcast? Did anyone see anything like that from the US coverage?
