Thread Name: BS: Jobs/Homes for Katrina evacuees
Subject: BS: Jobs/Homes for Katrina evacuees
We have some friends who recently bought a nail salon business in one of the suburbs of Atlanta, Georgia. They also recently bought a house that they have decided to rent out.

They are looking for people to work in their nail salon, and would be willing to rent the house to their employees. They realize that they are in a position to help out people from the Katrina affected areas who have lost their homes and their jobs.

They need people who are trained and licensed nail salon technicians (or whatever they call people who do that kind of work), and they are looking for people who are good enough at what they do to be able to help bring in new customers to the salon.

The salon is very nice and is located in a very upscale area where the customers tip very well. The people our friends hire will be able to make a good living at that salon.

The house is a fairly new, beautiful by suburban standards, and is in an upper middle income type neighborhood. It has four bedrooms, a big kitchen, living room, family room, formal dining room, decks, and a nice yard with trees. Our friends figure that if four to six people shared the rent on the house, they would be able to live quite comfortably while establishing a clientele in the area.

Does anyone know of any agencies our friends can contact to help them hook up with hurricane evacuees who want to relocate away from the gulf, and who are looking for jobs and places to live?
