There is warming of ocean water around the world, especially in the Pacific Ring of Fire. A huge amount of under water volcanic activity, meaning lava flows that are never seen, have produced measurable warming of water but not the air.

If there is increased Cyclonic activity, unusual oceanic currents or softening of the polar ice areas, this is the cause.
