British & French beat Russians at Alma in the Crimea: 9/20/1854


          We licked them at Alma and Inkerman (11/5/1854)
          But the Russians, they foiled us at the Redan.
          While scaling the ramparts, meself lost an eye
          And a great Russian bullet ran away with me thigh.
