Unfortunately, often the only thing that ignorant untrained amateurs have going for them is enthusiasm: thus, occasionally, the swine snuffles up a pearl, but fails to recognise it properly for what it truly is.

And of course - "SCA approved" is not necessarily always a positive recommendation.
