No, I'm not 82 - I retired from my first profession at age 52 and then did a series of other things, trying occupations I could have never attempted had I stuck myself there to perhaps the point of diminished capacity. By trying 4 different occupations, I maintained, even improved, my mental and physical capabilities as opposed to drifting into a possible unhealthy routine of sameness.
