My purpose for being somewhat ornery is the problems in the USA with older people in high office. My father is about the same age as yours and has every right to speak his mind. He will be the first to agree that many, if not most, seniors do not belong in high offices of Government. The wearing down of the faculties are perhaps even greater there than in private enterprise.
