It's hardly an exaggeration to say he invented a new species of human being, and all you had to do was watch poor little old world Joan Baez trying to sing along with the New Human Dylan. It wasnt the incompatibility of voices, it was the incompatibilty of absolutely everything. It was the Readers Digest meeting Last Exit to Brooklyn, a warthog marrying a cheetah, Doris Day holding hands with KLaus Kinski. Just not on, really.
