The guy who discovered that wild birds on the Great Barrier Reef in 1969 were the source of flu and that flu passed from birds to humans and not from humans to birds as was the previous scientific wisdom, was interviewed on Aussie TV this morning. He went on to develop the basis on which anti-virals were developed. As he said, "With 1.7 billion doses of Tamiflu made, if I had asked for a dollar a dose, I'd be a happy man!".
