John Hartford is still recording and still performing but tends to do more straight bluegrass and less pop. Unlike most bluegrass performers, he's also entertaining. I saw him at a festival once go from the stage into the audience in the middle of a song. With just voice and unamplified banjo he held everyone's attention as he walked through the crowd.
