Even in the largely- irreligious UK, the government is handing over state schools to Christian activists. While it's amusing to hear Christian fundamentalists complaining about Moslem fundamentalism, the power of the religious right is growing alarmingly. They will overreach themselves eventually, but the potential for damage in the meantime is huge.
