Hmmm, much to talk about.

1. Leaf fans have elevated crying in their beer to a high art. ;) This is no exception. If you take the trouble to dry your eyes and look at the standings, you will see that the Leafs have one point the Senators have two. (How many for the Flyers, Frank?) Yes! The Leafs got credit for the tie!!! I'm sure their sisters are profoundly grateful.

2. I'm enjoying this thread so I'm going to prolong it with pointless gloating. Pseudolus.. How 'bout them Flyers? :)

3. Johnny I've played Cricket, I've played hockey. As a sport compared to Hockey, Cricket is lawn bowling with a stick. Now RUGBY is a SPORT!!

4. I was a Leaf fan for 13 years, while they were owned by Harold Ballard. In the early 70's, after he gave away future Norris Trophy winner Randy Carlyle for NOTHING, to reduce the payroll. I decide that if the owner wasn't going to support the team, I wouldn't either. I switched to the team that put them out of the playoffs, The NY Islanders. The current ownership does support the team but The Sens start their team the year after I Moved to Ottawa. I've watched them grow from worst to first. I'm waiting for a cup.

5. Cournoyer was a decent straight ahead skater but Orr and Hull were better. Lemaire had a decent shot but McInnis' is better and he's a maritimer to boot. Beliveau was smooth but Mario is smoother and as classy and Gretzky, well Gretzky is Gretzky.
