Amos summed it up IMO... he said: "It is possible, after the bodies are buried and their civil war is somehow spent, that Iraqis in general will be glad he sent the U.S. Marines in to establish democracy. I doubt they'll end up with democracy, in the end, but it is just possible. Whether that end justifies Bush's criminal means is really an argument that will never end."

Isn't that the long range, strategic plan? Not just Iraq, the entire region... democracy for all? Freedom for all? No matter the cost? No matter how criminal... which, of course, is subjective.

Just pondering.
