I've just acquired a RainSong WS1100 carbon fibre guitar. If you want something different, give these a try. Second hand ones appear now and then at your price point. I paid $1300 for mine. Still made from trees, it's just that they are 30 million years old...great sound, clear, ringing tone and loads of volume. Fishman blender electrics too.
