Don, maybe they passed it on in good faith too. But there are a few bits of elementary net-smarts like that which come up in every "internet for dummies" list. For the record:-

1) If you get an email that tells you to pass it on, don't.

2) If you get an email that says "reply to be removed from list", don't.

3) If you get an email that says "reply to give us your bank details", don't.

4) If you get an email that says "reply to get $20 million", don't.

In fact, if you get any email where you cannot personally vouch for the correctness of its contents, just delete it.
