I agree with your rationale, but aware also that if the MudCat adopts this as practice:

1) we will need to re-educate any experienced user who joins the forum, as "lurker" is accepted usage outside of the 'cat

2) we SHOULD post the agreed upon usage to a (readily available) FAQ

3) make sure BEFORE "we" try to change usage here that "Angel" does not offend as many as does "lurker"
