Sonnet 01/10/05                            MXXIV

I owe you more than ever words can pay,
For giving light, to move darkness from soul.
I think you know my feelings: Should I say
Heart remains in your debt, and dreams control?
You are reason to dream: The lines you share
Reach into me, and entwine soul. You fill
My heart with longing, yet I know you care
For another: I'll not fight your will.
I will always a part of you retain:
A vision to remove despair. I hold
No more than that. My hopes still want to gain
Your love, but know no chance to muse enfold.
I cannot wish that you ever have tears,
And I have no hope to defeat your fears.
