You would commonly expect to find almost any European nationality serving aboard a Royal Navy ship, including the French, and also Americans, Brazilians and West Indians, quite a number of whom, especially the latter were black.

Plus, the whole thing was paid for with a finacial system borrowed from the Dutch.

So all in all, another triumph for the White, British working class then?
