Bonnie Jones, an administartor at a Chicago school, and a banjo player active in the Chicago folk scene was murdered by her husband, Howard Jones, a doctor who lost his medical license in 1993. Their son, Rhys Jones, the renowned fiddler was critically injured in the attack. The police then shot and killed Howard Jones.
