The Brown Recluse often gets the blame for some really nasty bites in Alaska, even by doctors, but the experts say that there is no record of a Brown Recluse ever coming this far north and that the culprit is likely the Hobo Spider. Any case, I've seen a couple of really gruesome effects on several people. The area can turn necroptic so that a deep chunk of flesh will eventually fall out.
