Another "Welcome" from Wales. (I'm 3.1176470588235294117647058823529-times your age if we'r obsessing about this!)

The weekend before last, I was at a memorial evening for Siwsi George (a Welsh trad singer who passed away earlier this year) and there were some young men (locals, early 20s?) in the adjoining bar who thought it was funny to try to drown out the few opening songs of the night. They had to cross through our room to get to the washrooms and four of them 'lingered' on the way back long enough to be 'bit by the bug'. Those four stayed in with us to the bitter end and when they left they were swinging their pants to the beat of the closing tune.

I get annoyed when media people tell me young people don't like trad music! I'm glad you've been bit! Spread the word!

Seems to me, too, that there would be a good number of Mudcatters in your area. Some might offer your fledgling folk club some help?

Anyway, welcome again and just remember the advice above: don't feed the trolls.
