No, we don't.

Hallowe'en (the modern version anyway) is supposed to be for little kids, and we are middle-aged. Also, Hallowe'en is supposed to be one night, and as Ebbie noted it now goes on for weeks. Finally, it's supposed to be a close-community kind of thing -- giggle on the doorstep while Mrs Thing pretends she doesn't recognize you wearing your Dad's old hat and coat -- and our neighbours are almost all strangers to us.

On the whole, I prefer to opt out.
