Th'Antiques Roadshow and Marie Little joined us yesterday, whilst Donal & Lou entertained us with much humour, song and banter.
I personally would have liked to hear more of Aileen Carr: but my highlight was John O'Hagan(Cockersdale) who rather diffidently introduced himself as Aileen's chaufer. He then proceeded to perform a beautiful sweet but exquisite short ballad!
Steve Turner sang well, as did Andy & Barbara Hindley, Bob Butler, Dave Bishop and Sue vG.
Sid Calderbank & Scowie were as brilliant as ever, but Matthew wasn't the only one wondering if the Lancashire dialect they were hearing made any sense to them!
Our condolences go to Alison McMorland & Geordie McIntyre who had a death in the family that prevented them from attending.
Best wishes also to Annie Dearman for a speedy recovery from a chest infection and Ellen Mitchell suffering a broken ankle.
Today's sessions flowed seamlessly in the Terry Whelan laid-back style, with Bob Blair leading a performance workshop followed by a survivors' sing-around.
We shall be reviewing how things went shortly and will look forward to any suggestions for improvement.
All in all, a convivial and entertaining week-end.
