I actually verified the "mirror image" option in the printer settings and it was not checked. The only other thing that changed (years of experience has taught me to look for what changed) is that I have a new HP all-in-one printer. This printer required the installation of software that keeps trying to access the internet and other unusual things, so maybe there's a setting somewhere in the printer workings that I can't find which is doing this. Of course the real change is that I've been trying to learn to use Illustrator, which is greatly paining my neck.
