Capt. Morse and I disagree about this one. Perhaps some here can shed light on the subject.

Today, Seamus either disgraced himself or earned a medal depending on your point of view. We were at the dog park when a rather large (male) Great White Pyrenee (sp?) caught his eye. And as boy dogs must do, Seamus proceeded to play Alpha Male by mounting the other dog and humping him. Although the other dog outweighed our Golden Boy by a good 20#, he chose to lie on his back and get humped. Repeatedly.

Seamus, though neutered, developed a rather long, hard, red erection- all estimates point to 7+". People stopped to stare in wonder. One woman walked into the park with her prissy little fuzz ball and snickered to her husband "Well we know what's on his mind!".

So far so good. But the Seamus started to walk around with this third leg dangling. He walked bowlegged. He hopped on three legs. And finally he sat down - a painful mistake which led to a long wailing screech of pain.

I ran to him and tried to get him on his feet. Another woman, insisting his leg was hurt, started examining his hind leg. I insisted that his leg was not the problem. So ... with some gentle massage, a leg rub and persistence, his "member" resumed its normal size and position and all was well.

I of course lost a year of my life trying to figure out how I was going to get 90 pounds of howling in pain Lab into my car and out at the vet's office. And then, how to explain what happened.

So...has anyone else witnessed a similar canine experience (no - I am not interested in your dilemma after exceeding the recommended Viagra dosage)? Kendall says this is common. But he comes from Machias where all sorts of strange things are common. I have never seen anything like this before and will do all in my power to prevent future occurrences.
