Thread Name: Songs to celebrate a new baby
Subject: RE: Songs to celebrate a new baby
I ahve two to suggest. 1. "Welcome to the World" was written by Si Kahn specifically for a new baby. It's on the recording "Sign of the times' by MCcutcheon and Kahn. Part of it is May you grow up big and strong May your life be rich and long May your nights be filled with song Welcome to the world. I really love this one. It's a beautiful blessing. 2. "Castle of Dromore" (also called "October Winds") (Irish trad)

The last verse is

Take time to thrive, my ray of hope, in the garden of Dromore Take heed, young eaglet, 'til thy wings are feathered fit to soar A little rest and then the world is full of work to do

Chorus:

Sing hush-a-by loo, la loo, la lan Sing hush-a-by-loo la lan
