First the English government displaces the folks that live there, then they set up the political divisions, then they play the Orange card. Easy to create a majority. As to your cite, I am curious as to the date of the information you are using. I know a few years ago, prior to the EU effect on the Republic, most folks wanted to remain a part of GB because economically it made sense. A poll taken today would yield different result, I will wager.
