The fact that Blair seems to be attempting to establish a new World Record for the quantity of legislation introduced under one leader, while having signally failed to introduce ONE intelligently drafted act, bodes ill for the future of British jurisprudence.

As this country is approaching the level of litigiousness that has existed in the USA for many years, it seems more and more likely that any remaining vestige of personal freedom will disappear in the not too distant future.

Tony's legacy may well be a country so oppressed and restricted by statute, that no citizen will feel safe to get out of bed in the morning for fear of offending against some obscure and ill conceived government ordinance.

And all of this in a country whose legal system is the model for virtually every democracy in the world.

History is going to have little good to say about the bastard IMHO.
