When I spent the night with my father's parents as a child, I loved to sit at my Granny's vanity type dresser & try on her jewelry, high heels, pegnoir sets & generally primp. It was quite exciting for a little girl back in them thar olden days. Sometimes I even stayed up & watched the late night movie & then the Star Spangled Banner, or even the footage of the blue angels juxtaposed to Music as the announcer ended with, ". . .and touch the face of God." I don't remember the whole reading anymore. It always gave me pause.
