SiX: Yes, the cakewalk Pyro is not a good choice as a home studio. I wouldn't recommend it for that. But, I have an enormous amount of good music on cassettes and lps that I would like to be able to transfer to CD with some level of control, with simple operation. Cakewalk does that for me. Perhaps after I become more accomplished with it I'd tlry a home studio software... but not the stuff I looked at, which cost $300 and would take an advanced degree in electrical engineering to figure out how to use.
