Naw, it's cuz they the HABS, "Les Habitants" as I learned from Googling, after the name given to or taken by the first settlers of the area... I guess it roughly equates to "The People" as so many human tribes call themselves.

But when I just stopped by at the Habs' site-- they mistakenly had themselves down as the game winner for tonight, hahahahahaaaaaaah!
