Sonnet 05/11/05                         MXXIX

All I now hold of her are dreams, and these
Few lines that thinking of her still inspires.
I cannot cease concern: My heart still sees
More than just muse in one my soul desires.
In silence heart hears only tears, to fill
Darkness with fears and sorrow: Should I seek
To bend the memories to match my will,
Or wait, and hope that muse might deign to speak?
Yet, should I need more than these dreams, to give
Reason to thank her? She has been the source
And destination of my verse: Dreams live
As long as I'll read words without remorse.
All she has given remains in my heart:
How can I write, and not wish her a part?
