pdq,
Thanks for the links
The 1,000,000 children although the original referred to 500,000 is a projection not the result of a survey
WMD's - main source UNSCOM Report to UNSC January 1999 the thing in the link about conclusions first is only an opinion not hard fact, although every other government sitting on the SC at the time fully believed that Iraq and Saddam possessed such weapons.
The 100,000 dead Iraqi civilians figure waved about by Bobert, George Galloway, et al -
"The authors of a peer-reviewed study, conducted by a survey team from Johns Hopkins University, claim that about 100,000 Iraqi civilians have died as a result of the war. Yet a close look at the actual study, published online today by the British medical journal the Lancet, reveals that this number is so loose as to be meaningless."
The opening of the Lancet article states that "100,000 Iraq civilians MAY have died" Now there is whale of a difference in stating that and stating "100,000 Iraqi civilians HAVE died"
Example I may have won the lottery is not the same as saying I have won the lottery.
That post 13 Nov 05 - 08:36 PM Is there an echo in here or is that Bobert just spouting the same old shit - yet again.
