On Saturday mornings, I sit beside the window and read the Globe & Mail from end to end, without hurrying. If Edmund interrupts with proposals to go somewhere and/or do something, I snarl "I'm reading the Globe & Mail" and continue until I'm finished, at which point I may be ready to consider bathing, dressing and various other preparations for facing the world.
