It reminds me of the owl that lived in a tree in the town square of a Flemish town and got shot by a police marksman a year or two ago, for hooting at night, after complaints by the residents.

The irony of it is that they then erected a statue of it in its memory in the square.

Strange world (...particularly Belgium. Don't hoot at night in Flanders whatever you do.)
