I knew Tex both in NYC and later in Montreal where he made his home. He was all the above and more. Big man, beard, booming voice and even a dreadnaught looked small in his hands. He did a rendition of "Codeine" that was unforgetable. A friend called me when he died and I was shocked, because I always thought he'd last forever. Always kind, always honest and always truthful.
