Well, this is twice today that I've agree with GUEST A... The poll numbers don't mean a danged thing to me...

But seems that they mean something to the Congressional Repubs who are beatin' feet away from Bush like he were a pool of radioactive scum...

Yeah, seems they don't evn want him comin' 'round their states... Jerry KIllgore, the Repub who just lost the governor's race in Virginia actually snubbed Bush by not appearing with himtwo weeks before the election... After that became the big stink, Killgore reluctantly appeared with Bush in Richmond the day before the election and,,in a solidly Republican state, lost the rave the following day by 5 points....

Yeah, if I were Repub, I wouldn't want Bush no whjere 'round my state...

Polls or no polls....

But very curious wording by GUEST A with "at this satge of the game" Seems to be, perhaps almost Freudin ot sub-conscious, a resignation in that phraseology... It's kinda like a football team being down three scores with three minutes left to play...

And, BTW, A... It ain't the "Bush bashers (which we aren't but bush policy bashers) egos" that seem so frgile these days...
