Stick with the union, they may not appear to be much use in day to day stuff, but when your back is against the wall (as mine is - Industrial Tribunal on Thursday and Friday against unfair dismissal because of sickness and only work part-time)they are there for you. As the Strawbs said - 'You can't get me, I'm part of the Union'.
