I have been in the antiques business for just over thirty five years now. Before I met my wife I would say that I collected my mistakes but that now has changed. We collect decorated glass from the Victorian era through the nineteen fifties. I also have a small website from which I sell glass and other antiques and collectibles. Beer, in my opinion it is the ring staff that make or break an auction. My order of importance regarding the various functions of an auction is; first the clerk, second the ring staff (we used to say ringman), and lastly the auctioneer.
