Fair enough - I realise my first post wasn't very clear because I was so wound up about the statistics. That's what really got me - those statistics about people's opinions, how they can think that a crime like this can be the victim's fault. Same goes for all kinds of abuse... a lot of people, and far too many in my view, seem to think that is is in some way, or even wholly the victim's fault.
Surely that can't be right.
