Thread Name: Lyr Req: If There Wasn't Any Women in the World
Subject: Lyr Req: If There Wasn't Any Women in the World
Fiddlin' John Carson & His Virginia Reelers recorded IF THERE WASN'T ANY WOMEN IN THE WORLD. It's on "Complete Recorded Works, Vol. 3 (1925-1926)" Document CD #8016, 1998.

I listened to a sound sample. Other than the refrain, which is also the title, I found it unintelligible.

The Folk Music Index says it was also recorded by The Ledford String Band, and was on "Ledford String Band," Rounder LP 0008, 1972, but that album apparently hasn't been reissued.

I have been unable to find any lyrics.

(This song was requested in another thread, but I decided not to add to it because it was one of the worst examples of thread drift I had ever seen. 45 messages and only one of them was a response to the original request, and even that didn't contain any useful information! I guess this kind of thing was commonplace before the BS section was created. I am really thankful that we now have a BS section.)
