As a definite outsider to Morris Dancing, I want to add my thanks for this thread to Wyrd Sister and the other posters.

I am learning from reading the comments, and can identify with the feeling of being one with a community, and having the music energize you. From your comments, I can also imagine that Morris dancing can be both hard work and fun.

I appreciate your interest in preserving and passing on your traditions.
