My left leg has been about half an inch shorter than my right since I stopped growing, about age 16. I spent a couple decades wondering why "they" never seemed able to cut a pair of pants straight though, till a massage therapist noticed this "asymmetry" a few years ago.

So it was my legs, not the jeans, all those years!

Half an inch ain't half as worrisome as two inches though. Maybe there's some sort of insole you could wear in your shoe to compensate? I really doubt it will do your poor back or hips any favours in the long run!
