I read somewhere that there are more Morris Dancers now than there have ever been, ever. If you ever go to Whittlesey, in the Fens, on Plough Monday, you can actually believe that the previous statement might be true. Mind you, if you do go, you're in serious danger of hypothermia (I noted a big line of brass monkeys outside the welding shop, last time I went!).
